May 2026 OTC Sports Center Update:

Thanks to Dr. Christopher Wolf-Gould for doing the AED clinic. We learnt and we hope we never have to use it.

​

Our pickleball tournament winners are Laura Gregory in the women’s doubles and Paul Carter in the men’s doubles. Each winner will receive a $25 gift certificate and a medal.

​

The mixed doubles part of the tournament will be made up on Friday June 5th. The tournament will start at 5:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

HELP!

The center needs to fill a part-time morning position for the summer to help maintain the indoor and outdoor courts, the swimming pool, the locker rooms and the mowing.  If you know somebody who is willing to work independently, please let me know.

OUTDOOR PICKLEBALL

Our outdoor pickleball adventure will be held on Saturday May 16th. The adventure part is that we will play on a softer surface with a quiet pickleball. It is free for all to attend. It all starts at 9:00 a.m. If the weather is bad, we will have it indoors and we will make up the outdoor event on June 6th.

OUTDOOR CLAY COURT TENNIS

Our official opening of the clay courts will be May 16th. We will have the outdoor locker rooms ready for use and the calendar will be updated with outdoor courts on the schedule.

POOL

The pool will be open once consistent summer temperatures are there. A new cover for the tent is on the way, and we hope to have it installed by Memorial Day,

PARTY

The facility indoors and outdoors is available to be rented for parties* during the summer. Each party is 4 hours long and the cost is $600. Contact Paul for more information.

*Graduation, retirement, wedding and family reunions.
